We want more female villains!
Summary:
- Female Sukuna would definitely be the hottest JJK character.
- That’s why a big part of the fandom will sexualize her instead of caring about her personality.
- If Sukuna were a girl, it would bless us with another wonderful female antagonist, though.
We are all aware of how awesome Sukuna is. Every time he’s on screen, we just know that something sick and twisted is about to happen. He’s named the King for a reason, after all.
Although he’s pretty incredible the way he is, fans love fantasizing and speculating. So let’s imagine that Sukuna is a female character. What would happen then?
The hottest Jujutsu Kaisen character?
Let’s start with the first thing we’re all thinking: she would be hot. There’s no point denying it, she just would, and that’s it. No explanation necessary. With that out of the way, let’s get to the real thing.
The real thing is also connected to the physical appearance of Sukuna. And, unfortunately, not in a good way. Anime fandoms just can’t have attractive female characters without sexualizing them. And we’re sure that female Sukuna would meet the same fate.
It’s not entirely a bad thing, you can have both: a well-written and sexualized character. But with Sukuna it might decrease the impact the character is supposed to have.
Sukuna is the main villain of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. It doesn’t matter that there hasn’t even been much of him in the first two seasons. We know that when he appears, danger is coming along.
He’s crazy, frightening and unpredictable. And if he were a woman, a lot of people would completely miss this point and concentrate only on the way she looks.
This is what happened to Makima in Chainsaw Man, who isn’t even as frightening due to her attractiveness and all the sexual themes that surround her character. Don’t get us wrong, she’s still a menace, but a big part of it is overshadowed by her looks. Fans think that the same thing would have happened to Sukuna.
More female villains is always a good thing
But not everything is that negative. Jujutsu Kaisen’s author, Gege Akutami, is often criticized for his treatment of female characters. They all get killed off in the series or become completely irrelevant to the story.
However, if the main villain were a woman, it would change some things. It would definitely give us one more fascinating girl, and that is wonderful.
Fans also think that more people would side with Sukuna and forgive her for all the horrors she’s done. And maybe even root for her during one of the heated battles.
One thing we can all agree on is that it would be truly curious to see such a villain. But, unfortunately, our imagination is the only place where this is possible. Or maybe also fanfiction.
