Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Sousou no Frieren) is the most popular fantasy anime airing right now. It’s incredibly unique, too, as far as anime series of this genre go. Not being an isekai is already an achievement, but Frieren is far more than that — its world is truly magical.
That said, there are many elements about the world that are still confusing to viewers. Some of these things get mentioned in passing, while we can only speculate about the others. With the perception of time being one of the key topics in the anime, some fans are wondering just how different Frieren’s own lifespan is from those of other characters.
Elves
We currently don’t know the exact lifespan of elves in Frieren, sadly. What we do know is that it is exceptionally long — both Frieren and Kraft are over a thousand years old. For someone that old, a human life is very short.
A couple of months for them feels like a day or so for us, and the anime often reiterates how different Frieren’s own worldview is from that of her companions’.
Neither Frieren nor Kraft appear to be old. Serie, who is seemingly even older than both, also looks very young — it is quite possible that elves do not age at all.
With how uncommon they are in the world, and considering the fact that they often don’t even track their own age, we might not know the exact answer to this one — but it’s not like we need exact numbers at this point anyway.
Dwarves
With dwarves, their lifespan has actually been mentioned in the anime. They often live to the age of more than 300 years old — which is still much more than the possible lifespan of humans. Eisen doesn’t seem to be particularly close to death, though he has definitely aged since being in a party with Frieren.
Some dwarves can live even longer. An example in the series is Voll, who is over 400 years old. That said, he seems to be an exception and is considered incredibly old by pretty much everyone who knows him.
Demons
Demons are an interesting case. Their perception of the entire world is different, and many fans and even characters in the series have compared them to highly intelligent predators who are considered evil.
That said, it seems like demons perceive time similarly to elves — they don’t seem to have any known upper age limit or get older with time
