Yuta and Geto are Confirmed to Be in the Jujutsu Kaisen Game

More reasons to wait for February?

Summary:

  • Cursed Clash is an upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen video game.
  • The release of the game is scheduled for February.
  • A new trailer featuring Yuta and Geto has been released.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is an upcoming arena fighter developed by Byking Inc. and Gemdrops, and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Fans will be able to experience it in February 2024 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X & S, Xbox One and PC.

There wasn’t much hype surrounding the game because fans were unsure about it being an arena fighter, and had their doubts about the quality of the final project. They would prefer the game to be story-focused and to include some original content and details.

Still, they take what they can get, and this game is definitely better than no game. The chance to feel like one of your favorite characters is always exciting, so pre-orders are happening and some people start counting days until the Cursed Clash game is released.

You can play as Jujutsu Kaisen characters

The players will be able to create their team from various Jujutsu Kaisen characters, and they are naturally curious what exact characters will be available. The main trio, along with our beloved Gojo and Sukuna, were announced back in August and since then more JJK characters have followed suit.

Although Yuta Okkotsu and Suguru Geto were announced in December, there were no further details until recently. The new trailer for the game has been released, and it confirms it: Yuta and Geto will indeed be in Cursed Clash.

Fans have mixed feelings

The trailer gives us major Jujutsu Kaisen 0 vibes as it features Yuta fighting Geto (not Kenjaku, if that’s important to you). Rika is also there, of course, which fans are not entirely satisfied with. Not with the fact that Rika is in the game, but with the way she looks: she seems too small, and thus less dangerous.

Another thing that fans find questionable is the voice actors. They feel like the English dub of the characters (and especially Geto) is underwhelming, and they expected something different. Something better.

The game will have Japanese dubbing, though, so it’s not such a big deal, since you can choose to play with the English subtitles.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is scheduled for February 1 (Japan) and 2 (the rest of the world), which means we have less than three weeks until we can finally see if this is a project worthy of our attention.
