It’s less than a month before we say goodbye to 2023, and with the year ending, Undead Unluck fans have decided to summarize their favorite manga and discuss where this year has led it. And we’re always happy to discuss it, too!

It’s always nice to finish with something positive, so let’s take a look at some of the bad decisions that Fuuko has made. It’s important to emphasize that we’re not talking about Undead Unluck bad storytelling decision, but Fuuko’s one. It’s not a criticism of the manga, we love Undead Unluck!

Worst choices

Fans feel upset about Fuuko leaving herself out of the space mission. To be honest, Fuuko shouldn’t be left out of anything because we really want to see more of her, since she’s incredible. But people thought the girl had enough time to accept the burden of being a leader at that point and learnt how to deal with that.

Another thing is leaving Chikara behind. It doesn’t matter if fans thought that he would be a useful ally for Fuuko in the future or if they just wanted more of him, leaving him was upsetting. However, some people don’t agree and believe that he had no need to stay in the Union, since he was the only negator who had an actual life outside of the Union.

The surgeon staff is also quite questionable and we don’t really understand why Fuuko needed to spend this much time on learning something that she will only use once.

Best choices

Fuuko seems to have made a lot of great choices, too. For example, she acquired various artifacts, such as Kinto’un cloud, and was not afraid to use them when needed.

Her strategic abilities have also impressed the fans a lot. If anime-onlys think that Gina is gone for good, we know that it’s not the truth. By using her and the book of memories, Fuuko manages to have Autumn defeated. Her actions also caused the Apocalypse to have more of a relationship with the Union instead of a master-pawn dynamic that they had going on.

But the best move is considered to be Fuuko firing at the Master Rules members. This decision paid off a lot later in the story because it was one of the members that provided a crucial piece of information. Had she not done that, the protagonists would have struggled a lot to gain this information.
