Sometimes we just root for the bad guy.

As we know, good always triumphs over evil. But what if you're feeling tired of that? Happy endings are nice, but don't we all just want to see the bad guy's victory sometimes? If you're one of those people who want to see a refreshing ending with a baddy winning, here is a list for you!

1. Devilman Crybaby

A high school student, Akira Fudo, merges with a powerful demon, thus becoming a Devilman. With that, he gains all of the demon attributes: inhuman strength, regeneration abilities and unnatural dexterity. This, however, doesn't change his compassionate nature, making him a unique combination. And now he's trying to destroy the ones who've wreaked havoc upon the world alongside his human friend.

2. Fate/Zero

The Holy Grail War is a contest where mages fight for a great prize. Kiritsugu Emiya is known for his brutal and morally ambiguous methods of getting anything he wants by all means. He believes in sacrificing a few for the greater good. And now he's part of the competition. Wanna see how this battle royale ends? Just watch the anime!

3. Neon Genesis Evangelion

Post-apocalyptic world, humanity is on the brink of extinction. Giant robots (or Evangelions) are built to protect people from powerful beings called Angels. The main protagonist, a 14-year old boy Shinji Ikari is recruited to pilot one of the Evangelions by his dad who hasn't really been the father of the year. And now the boy has to use an Evangelion machine that synchronizes with its pilot's nervous system, thus causing psychological damage to the boy, to stop the threat of Angels and fight back.

4. From the New World (Shinsekai yori)

In the world of this anime, people have psychic abilities (or Canto) that allow them to manipulate objects and control their surroundings. The story follows the lives of five friends, who live in a village that seems peaceful at first sight. With the Canto powers development, more and more people start using their abilities for violence and crime. As the story progresses, the main characters learn the dark and mysterious truth about their world and its history.

5. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch)

The Holy Empire of Britannia is a dominating power in the world. Japan used to be a flourishing country, but now it's just a district (called Area 11) of this cruel empire.
