Just look at these characters!
Summary:
- Bucchigiri?! has been praised for its amazing fights before.
- There are other things fans love the series for.
- It has a lot of fanservice, wonderful character designs and hilarious humor.
Despite almost everyone hating on the main protagonist of Bucchigiri?!, we have to admit that the series is doing pretty well so far. And there is actually more than just one reason for that.
We’ve already discussed the fight sequences in the series, and we still stand by it: the combat is executed masterfully in Bucchigiri. Bravo, MAPPA! And still, it doesn’t end with spectacular animation and exciting fights.
But wait, there’s more
It’s fair to say that few people were into the series because of its plot straight from the beginning. The trope of an unlikable protagonist magically acquiring some powers is so overused that we’ve even lost count of anime like that.
But the way it’s done is really surprising. Bucchigiri doesn’t need to think of a clever and intricate way of explaining the power-up. Arajin just shoots a mysterious gun he finds by accident and a bullet goes to his head? Why not! The anime is exceptionally good at being absurd, and it works perfectly.
Fanservice is always nice
Fans have pointed out outstanding character design in the series. Marito alone is enough to make hundreds of fangirls’ hearts beat faster. And we won’t even mention the prettiest doe eyes of Matakara.
On top of that, all the character designs are not only beautiful, but also different from each other. If you look at all the characters individually, you might not even guess that all of them come from the same anime. There are distinct differences in their features, and all of them are incredibly handsome.
There’s also a lot of space for shipping, and it’s not just because shippers are wild and always look for new pairings, no. Bucchigiri knows exactly what it’s doing with all these homoerotic moments, and fans are loving it.
Top-notch humor
Bucchigiri is also hilariously weird. In a good way, of course. The idea that the main protagonist is driven by the desire to lose his virginity alone might make you giggle a little bit. And this fact keeps surprising you more and more.
Just when you think “yeah, here it comes” and expect Arajin to turn into a true fighter, he has one of these pompous moments only for them to be ruined a second later by him talking about his virginity again.
Fans also hope that his repelling personality will provide space for significant character development, but they do want the humor to remain in the story, too.
