Demon Slayer Fans Have Their Concerns About Season 4

What is Season 4 going to be about, after all?

Summary:

  • Demon Slayer Season 4 premiere is scheduled for February 2024.
  • The Hashira Training arc is too short for an entire season.
  • There are worries that half of the season will be filled with irrelevant content.

While Season 4 of the Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) anime feels like a super exciting event for all the fans, they can’t help but feel a little bit puzzled and even frustrated by the lack of details surrounding the season. We’ve already got some pieces of info such as it being the adaptation of the Hashira Training Arc and the premiere being set to February 2024, but the main question hasn’t been answered yet: is there going to be extra content in the season?

The Hashira Training arc is rather short

This conversation started back when the Hashira Training Arc adaptation was first announced. The entire sequence is only 9 chapters long, and this will leave the anime with 5-6 episodes max. Which is not enough even for a single cour anime. So what is Ufotable going to do with that? We’ve already discussed the possibilities here, but fans are still unsatisfied with the lack of information. That’s why they start worrying about the result.

A number of fans are sure that the light novels will be added to the season to fill the rest of the episodes, but still, it’s not enough. On top of that, these stories will hardly fit into the events of the arc, and fans don’t see how it’s possible to combine them together. Some extra content or more backstories of the Hashira would be nice, but the question still stands.

If the Hashira Training Arc is truly 6 episodes long, it will leave us with 6 more episodes. Are they all going to be fillers and extra content? It’s half of the season, after all, so having 50% of irrelevant or fanservice content is quite worrisome for the fans.

We need more updates

That’s why we are eager to learn more about the new season of Demon Slayer. Some fans are confident that Ufotable can be trusted and they won’t make us watch boring fillers for half the season, but they just need at least some proof for that. The studio doesn’t have to provide particular details, just a simple hint or a promise that we have nothing to worry about will do.

February is not so far away, and we’re sure that more information is on its way. And we really hope that all the fans’ worries will be in vain, and they will understand that there are no issues with the season.
