The Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) fandom is having a great week since they’ve finally received more details about the upcoming season. We’ve already discussed the news here, so let’s talk about predictions now.
The Hashira Training Arc doesn’t have enough content
As we know, the new season will adapt the Hashira Training Arc of the Demon Slayer manga. The Arc starts with the Hashira meeting where they discuss swordsman marks. Despite having the mark, Tanjiro cannot explain how he got it and what the mystery behind it is. The Hashira decide that those having the marks are going to participate in the training.
Since the news about this arc being animated was announced, fans have been thinking a lot. The thing is that the entire arc is just 9 chapters long, and it usually takes 1 episode to animate 2 chapters. So that will leave us with only 5 episodes, which is not even a single cour of a season. This led fans to believe that either the season will go further than the Hashira Training Arc or add some extra content. And we’ve got some ideas about what this content might actually be.
We long for more character interactions
Looks like fans are craving for more interactions between their favorite characters. Everyone has become very dear to us during the previous seasons, and we just want to see them talk and spend some quality time together. What if we could get a couple of funny or wholesome moments? Ufotable, please? Make it a filler episode, we don’t care, we just want our hearts to melt.
Demons’ fans also have some ideas. Kokushibo, Douma and Akaza have been getting so little screen time that it’s practically a crime. If you’re not ready to tell us their stories, just let us watch them do something… anything! Maybe make them kill a couple of innocents and give us a glimpse of their cruelty. Have us fear them even before they’re more present in the story.
Fans are also curious to know more about the relationships between the Hashira. Some more interactions or conversations and backstories would be cool. Or seeing them sparring and making jokes while doing so. Anything, really, that would go deeper into their relationships.
They would also love to see a couple of stories from Kimetsu no Yaiba Gaiden or light novels, but some fans suggest it would be much better if they turned into a mini series later instead of being part of Season 4.
