Where are all the updates?
Summary:
- It’s a bit over a month until Demon Slayer: Hashira Training premieres.
- Crunchyroll has announced that the new season will air on the streaming service.
- The lack of details is becoming frustrating.
Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Geiko-hen) is scheduled for May 12, 2024, so there’s only about a month left until the premiere.
Fans are getting more and more excited with each week, but they can’t help but feel that something is missing. This “something” being updates on the upcoming season.
Coming to Crunchyroll
There is a small update, though, and it’s coming from Crunchyroll. The streaming service has announced that Hashira Training will air exclusively there starting in May.
New episodes will be streamed every Sunday in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East, CIS, India and Southeast Asia. So if you’ve been wondering where and how to watch the new season, this is your answer.
Crunchyroll has also announced that the upcoming season of Demon Slayer will be dubbed in the following languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. There are no details about the release date of the dubbed versions, though.
This news is more than exciting of course because Crunchyroll is one of the most popular anime streaming services, so fans are happy they’ll have the chance to watch the new season of Demon Slayer there. However, they’re craving more news.
What About Other Details?
Too many things are yet to be revealed, and the most important of them is the episode count of Hashira Training. It’s been the number one question for ages, and fans are frustrated that it hasn’t been answered yet.
The most common predictions are that the upcoming season will have 6 or 8 episodes, since the Hashira Training Arc is a rather short part of the manga.
The fact that this information is being kept secret for so long makes fans think that there’s a deeper meaning to it. If ufotable doesn’t want to reveal the number of episodes so much, there has to be a reason.
There are a couple of speculations, and the most hopeful fans believe that the upcoming season will not just adapt the Hashira Training Arc after all, and will include further parts of the story.
However, this idea feels very unlikely for now, since the season has been marketed as Hashira Training straight from the beginning.
A more probable idea is that the new season will have a tiny number of episodes indeed, and this is why the studio doesn’t want to reveal this information. They might be worried about the fans’ reaction.
