Gojo will be back?!
Ah, the Gojo copium, we haven’t had that for about five minutes, and it’s finally back. His death in Chapter 236 was a major thing for the fandom. It was unsatisfying for so many reasons, from the bare fact that Gojo’s dead to the way how his defeat was handled.
Chapter 236 was released back in September 2023, and since then, every time there’s a new Jujutsu Kaisen chapter, fans keep waiting for Gojo’s return. A character like that just couldn’t meet his end this way! Right? RIGHT?! And the leaks might be a huge hint that Gojo will indeed be back.
In the leaks, Sukuna mentions that Gojo’s body just disappeared and was probably taken by other sorcerers. While it can mean that they just took his body to honor him, fans think this is a big clue.
Why would his body even be mentioned if it wasn’t important to the story? So the hope is back, but we have an unpleasant feeling that it might get shattered just as quickly.
Is Kenjaku really dead?
Back in Chapter 243 we saw Kenjaku defeated and beheaded by Yuta, but the fandom was still unsure about his status. Was it the end? Just like that?
Kenjaku was set up as one of the main villains during the Shibuya Incident Arc. Even though we knew that Sukuna was always more important and would have to be the final boss, Kenjaku was extremely crucial for the story. That’s why no one really believed in his death.
However, the new leaks show Yuta joining the Sukuna battle, and there is no mention of Kenjaku. Does that mean he’s actually dead? If so, then this is the most unsatisfying villain death in all shounens, fans say.
Still, some readers are confident that Gege is just toying with us, and Kenjaku just wanted the sorcerers to focus on Sukuna for now, so that he would be able to surprise them with an unexpected attack.
Sukuna’s plot armor
Fans have been complaining about Sukuna’s plot armor for months now. It feels like no matter what other characters do and how skilled and powerful they are, Sukuna always comes out as a victor of all the encounters. Readers mentioned it back when he killed Gojo, and kept talking about it on various occasions ever since.
The new leaks once again prove it: Sukuna is overpowered. They’re not even surprised anymore that he can easily evade all of the attacks. They’re just upset that Higuruma died for nothing, and that they allowed Gege to trick them with all that “curses get stronger after death” thing.
