Looks Like Fans Are Enjoying the Undead Unluck Adaptation So Far

Don’t miss out on this series!

Undead Unluck is a fresh anime series based on the manga of the same name. With only three episodes for now the show has managed to make us fall in love with its weird humor and even weirder characters.

Undead Unluck follows Fuuko Izumo, a girl whose ability is not a regular superhero's one — she can bring extreme misfortune to anyone touching her. She believes this condition of hers is what resulted in her parents’ death, and she’s afraid of even the simplest interactions with other people, such as getting her hair cut, due to the fear of killing a hairdresser in the process.

After finishing her favorite manga (yeah, don’t worry if you’ve just started watching Undead Unluck, these scenes at the beginning are from this manga, you’re watching the right show) Fuuko sees no reason to continue her miserable existence and decides to commit suicide. However, things do not go as planned. While getting ready to jump onto the railroad tracks, she meets a strange man. After touching the girl, he is hit by a train, and Fuuko thinks that he’s nothing more than another victim of her misfortune, but a surprise awaits her. The man turns out to be undead and extremely excited to meet someone who is capable of making his dream of dying come true. The zombie believes that Fuuko and her bad luck is the key that is going to finally solve his living issue.

This anime sets a bizarre tone straight from the beginning. Its humor is based on blood and death with just a little bit of sexual innuendo. What more can we wish for? The characters are so weird that it’s actually funny and endearing, and watching them interact is highly enjoyable.

We can already feel the touch of drama in the series since Fuuko has been denying herself the pleasure of physical contact for the past ten years, and it’s obvious that it bothers her. But now she’s finally found someone who is not afraid of touching her and is actually eager to do so. We don’t know about you but we see the potential of a new odd and crazy friendship.

The animation looks stunning, character design is highly appealing, and the art style has something about it that reminds you of old classics. Although the show is already filled with blood and death, it doesn’t look like a regular horror story. Dark humor is what makes it look unserious and really engaging.

We can’t wait to keep watching and see what else this strange and eccentric story has to offer. And we’ll be here to tell you about it, of course!
