What Manga Arcs Will Be Adapted in Demon Slayer Season 4?

And where are the updates?

Summary:

  • We still don’t know whether Season 4 will have anything else, except for the Hashira Training Arc.
  • Fans speculate that Season 4 might also start the next arc.
  • We don’t think it’s likely.

The Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) Hashira Training Arc anime adaptation is coming soon, but that’s not news. What we still don’t know is what other parts of the manga will be adapted in Season 4.

The official premiere of Demon Slayer Season 4 is scheduled for April 2024, but the first episode will have its theatrical release in February. We still don’t know any further details and dozens of fans’ questions are yet to be answered.

We have already discussed the fact that fans are worried about the lack of updates on the upcoming premiere, and it’s getting more and more frustrating with each week.

Only the Hashira Training Arc?

But the lack of trailers is not even the main concern among the fandom. It’s the events that Season 4 will feature. All the information we have from the animation studio is that it will adapt the Hashira Training Arc of the manga.

We’re sure you’ve already heard that the Hashira Training Arc is really short, only nine chapters long. So it’s nowhere nearly enough for the entire season. Fans previously expressed their expectations and wishes for the upcoming season, but now they have another speculation.

Will it touch upon the Final Battle Arc, too?

What if Season 4 features the next arc as well? The arc that follows the Hashira Training is the Final Battle one, and, as you may understand from its name, this is the last manga arc of Demon Slayer.

However, the Final Battle Arc is divided into two sub-arcs, the Infinity Castle and the Sunrise Countdown. That’s why fans are thinking whether the Infinity Castle Arc will be animated this season, too.

It’s possible that Season 4 will go further than just the Hashira Training arc, but we highly doubt that it will include the entire Infinity Castle. The point is that this sub-arc is 47 chapters long, so there won’t be enough screen time to adapt it if Season 2 is one cour, just like the previous ones.

Moreover, the Sunrise Countdown Arc is 22 chapters long, so if it’s all that’s left after Season 4, what are they going to do with Season 5?

The only way to handle the Final Battle Arc properly is to make it a whole season, so we don’t think any parts of this arc will be adapted in the upcoming Season 4.

This means we’re either stuck with watching fillers and extra content for a big portion of Season 4 after the Hashira Training Arc is over, or we’ll have a tiny season this year, and the finale 1-2 years later.
