True Beauty is a South Korean webtoon about a girl Lim Jugyeong, who used to be bullied for her appearance before she learned to use makeup. Youtube tutorials sure are something! In high school, she is considered a beauty and even a candidate for the school’s title of a True Beauty Goddess.
Unfortunately, a boy named Lee Suho sees Lim Jugyeong without her makeup, which puts her position at school in jeopardy. However, Lee Suho doesn’t seem to want to ruin Lim Jugyeong’s reputation and even sees beauty in her without her makeup. He seems to be quite a catch!
Soon, another boy becomes friends with Lim Jugyeong. His name is Han Seojun, and he is considered the bad boy of the school. With a love triangle in the making, Lim Jugyeong starts a journey toward improving her self-esteem and figuring out who and what she loves and cares about.
The webtoon is a hit, and as a result, it is getting an anime in 2024.
