Don't miss out on these!
Netflix constantly updates its catalog of anime. While it occasionally licenses older series, most of the updates are new releases. So, here are 5 anime that you definitely shouldn't miss out on in 2024!
Dandadan
Release date: October 2024
The trailer for Dandadan is already out, and it's pretty crazy. To be fair, the entire premise is crazy: the original manga is about a boy and a girl who discover that supernatural entities are actually real.
The manga had quite a huge following before the anime was even announced, and it's definitely the most anticipated anime of 2024 that will come out on Netflix.
Beastars Final Season
Release date: Unknown (2024)
Of course, it was only a matter of time before Beastars got a full adaptation. The first two seasons were already great, but they were only the setup.
So far, the anime have adapted half of the manga, and fans speculate that the final season will be two cours long. That notion is supported by the fact that it was announced to be split in 2 parts, the first of which is coming out in 2024.
Release date: August 2024
Yes, we're finally getting a continuation for this shoujo classic. Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You is a wonderful and realistic romance story that deals with topics like friendship and bullying.
The first two seasons were already liked by many, but the anime actually needed a continuation. It's getting it, and Season 3 is coming to Netflix. The first two are on Crunchyroll, though.
Rising Impact
Release date: June 22, 2024 (Part 1)
If you liked The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) — at least at some point — you might be interested in earlier works of the mangaka.
Interestingly enough, before getting into battle shounen, he has made a sports manga about golf. That manga, Rising Impact, is getting adapted and coming to Netflix this year in two parts. The first part is going to be released on June 22, while the second part will be out on August 6.
Hanma Baki VS Kengan Ashura
Release date: June 6, 2024
Both of the long-running (multi-season) fighting anime on Netflix acquired quite a following by now. Baki is a more or less standalone continuation of an older series, Grappler Baki, following a young practitioner who strives to overcome his father. Kengan Ashura is a brutal story of an underground fighting community.
What's the best thing that fans of both can expect? A crossover movie, of course. Despite being written by different authors, they are actually getting a crossover where the protagonists are supposed to fight each other.
