It's time to mark your calendars – October is already here!
This year's fall season promises to be eventful. Viewers will find anime to suit all tastes, with new seasons of established shows juxtaposed with new releases, and crazy action with sports dramas.
1. Blue Lock Season 2
Release Date: October 5, 2024
Blue Lock returns with a second season – the first one was loved by the fans. The secret of success lies in the intensity of passions and charismatic characters, which are best revealed on the field. The new episodes promise to take the game to a new level.
The first selection was completed last season, and the best strikers from all over Japan remained in the Blue Lock. The goal is still the same – to create an invincible striker for the Japanese national team, but the sponsors of the project are beginning to doubt the advisability of spending.
In order to confirm the Blue Lock's right to exist, its director, Jinpachi Ego, decides to organize exhibition matches. The stakes are high: a loss could mean the end of the project.
2. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Season 2 Part 3
Release Date: October 6, 2024
The grand finale of the saga is nearing its conclusion. Thousand-Year Blood War has reached the third of four parts, and as expected, events are heating up to the limit. At the beginning of the new part, the battle between the Zero Squad and Quincy is taking place on the territory of the Soul King Palace.
The very existence of the Soul Society is threatened: if the father of all Quincies, Yhwach, gets his way, the usual order of things will come to an end.
The above will probably only make sense to viewers who have seen the previous episodes. Which is not surprising: we are talking about the end of a plot of several hundred episodes, and the finale alone has already lasted more than two dozen episodes.
Still, this is a big and important event: Bleach fans have been waiting for the release of the Thousand-Year Blood War for 10 years.
3. Dandadan
Release Date: October 3, 2024
Fate brings together two very different students: Ken believes in UFOs and denies the existence of ghosts, while Momo is just the opposite. Their disagreement about the supernatural turns into a fight, and it turns out that both aliens and the supernatural are real: Momo is abducted by aliens and Ken is possessed by a ghost.
The original manga by Yukinobu Tatsu has already won the hearts of readers, so there is a high possibility that the anime will make viewers fall in love with it, too.
4. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
Release Date: October 5, 2024
In 15th-century P Kingdom, deviations from dogma and attempts to advance science usually lead to the stake. This is the environment in which young Rafal grows up: he studies theology, the most important of all sciences, but one day fate brings him together with a new acquaintance who is able to turn the young man's ideas about the world upside down and sow the seeds of doubt that lead to heresy.
Numerous awards, inclusion in the most recommended reading lists and the best manga of the year in 2021 and 2022 indicate that On the Movements of the Earth is a title not to be missed.
5. Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga li
Release Date: October 7, 2024
A marriage of convenience may seem archaic, but it still happens today. Yoshino Somei, the daughter of a major yakuza, finds herself in such a situation when her father decides to marry her to the son of the head of the rival clan, Miyama Kirishima.
The girl's initial skepticism quickly disappears: the young man turns out to be a nice guy, quite unlike a crime boss. However, as time goes on, it becomes clear that this is just a mask hiding a cunning, cruel and calculating person.
