Another crossover event, courtesy of Twitter: now we're tasked with creating K-Pop bands with various anime characters. Who's going to be a designated rapper? Who's going to dance their heart out, making Michael Jackson whistle? Who's going to make a ballad so heart-wrenching we'll be sobbing and using the lines from the lyrics as fanfiction titles for years on end? Here are 8 combinations that fit the mark.
The whole crew of Ouran High School Host Club
Let the twins do the dances: they'll be able to execute perfect synchronicity that would leave even some Gen-2 bands in awe. Kyoya will definitely be a leader, as he's the only one with a properly functioning brain here, but he'll be able to land some nice rhymes. Haruhi will deal with the vocals and also dance quite well. Honey-senpai will be maknae (the youngest member) despite being senpai, and Tamaki will take the center place.
When you have an actual writer on the list, your troubles with lyrics are settled: Dazai can deal with that. He can also be one of the main vocalists and rap sometimes. Ash Lynx is gifted with the ability to talk in English, and we'd also want him to be the main rapper and dancer. Miyamura takes the place of the designated maknae of the group and sings his heart out. Loid is the leader of this group, with his seemingly calm and stoic personality capable of dealing with a bunch of these people, and he also is the center boy.
Mirko is going to be the loudest out of all of them, a designated maknae, and the best dancer. She'll probably take the role of the main rapper, too, aided by Quanxi. Quanxi, by the way, is going to lead this bunch of thug-like girls — but officially this title will be Yoruichi's. She's gonna have great vocals and the best visuals. Yuki will add a little bit of punk attitude to that group, being the one who sings all these power ballads. And let Quanxi nail the dances, too.
Hinata Hyuuga (Naruto), Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach), Nico Robin (One Piece)
A girl's band from the Big Three! Nico's going to lead this wonderful trio to stardom. Paired with the vocals and rapping abilities, Nico will be able to create a certain sense of presence on the stage. Although the center place would be generously gifted to Rukia who's gonna dance the hell out of it. Hinata will be the one everyone swoons over as she's gonna have the title of the maknae and be the main dancer, also responsible for visuals.
Shinsuke Kita (Haikyuu!!), Yuuji Itadori (Jujutsu Kaisen), Reki Kyan (SK8 the Infinity), Eren Yeager (Attack On Titan), Denki Kaminari (My Hero Academia), Shouyou Hinata (Haikyuu!!)
Let Kita lead this bunch and let Yuuji be the face of the group and the main rapper — he has everything for that. Eren can be a center, with his grounding presence that demands attention, and Denki can be the main vocalist — his voice is as energizing as he is. Hinata will be the maknae of the group, cute and loud, but still capable of some really nice moves, and Reki is gonna dance like there's no tomorrow.
You'll adore seeing them perform, as dancing will be one of their strongest forte. And their dancing will be simultaneously elegant and powerful, sharp and groovy. Aomine will rap the house down, while Ash will deal with the vocals — he seems like he'd have a nice voice. Yuuri is going to be the main dancer, and Gojo will steal the attention as the center. Bonus point: playful banter between Gojo and Aomine will create a lot of nicely heated moments on stage. With Aomine being the leader and the main troublemaker, too.
Victor Nikiforov (Yuri!! On Ice), Zoro Roronoa (One Piece), Tohru Oikawa (Haikyuu!!), Kotarou Katsura (Gintama)
You'd be surprised, but these guys are gonna rap: Zura already has some experience doing so, and with some lower-end, T.O.P.-like bass aid from Zoro, they're gonna land some mellow notes. Victor will steal the spotlight, being the center and the leader at the same time, also dancing like his life depends on it, but Tohru will fight with him for the attention, while simultaneously being the main vocalist.
No one asked for an emo band yet here we are. Chrollo is a natural-born leader, and that's exactly what this group needs. He'd also be the main dancer of this quartet, able to land some of the smoothest moves. Aki is going to take vocals and be the lead dancer, with his long legs and precise movements. Choso is gonna rap and entertain the people with nice breakdance moves, also holding the maknae title. And Sebastian will be the face of the group and the lead vocalist.
