Uta’s Father

Well… we actually lied. There is one person who can be considered a villain in The Yuzuki Family. He appears for a few seconds in Episode 7, and that’s Uta’s dad.

To be clear, we don’t believe he is truly a villain. He feels like one to Uta and her mother due to his infidelity, but if he had a little more screen time, we are sure he could redeem himself.

Perhaps, he will, but for the time being he is a cheater, which is quite villainous. In fact, he even made Uta cover for him. That is probably as close to villainy as The Yuzuki Family will ever get.

Uta’s Ex-boyfriend

Another person who could be considered a short-term villain is Uta’s ex-boyfriend. He is not really a villain; he is a kid, and he repeats what other people tell him. But he criticizes Uta for her lack of femininity, and that makes Uta sad for a very long time. Fortunately, she has Minato to help her forget about the silly words of a silly boy.

After all, The Yuzuki Family has plenty of honest, realistic depictions of people living their lives, struggling at times and making mistakes. There’s no need for villains when regular people have flaws and can learn to overcome them.
