Anime often takes place at school, so let us make a list of anime schools!
Anime schools are very different, from as normal as any real-life school to more unusual than Hogwarts. Let's take a look at some of them.
Death Weapon Meister Academy from Soul Eater
Death Weapon Meister Academy or DWMA is a school from the anime Soul Eater, which is mostly about DWMA students studying and performing tasks to combat evil creatures and spirits. The students include Meisters, people who wield weaponry meant to combat evil, and Weapons, which are people (and other creatures) that transform into weapons so that Meisters can wield them. The school is run by Shinigami (God of Death) himself! The school is central to the plot, but it is not the only magical school in anime.
Jujutsu High from Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu High is meant to make its sorcerer students stronger, and it is not the safest place on this list. It looks like a Buddhist Temple (on purpose, to deceive), and it is also a place for strong sorcerers to come together and discuss pressing issues. This is the second magical school on the list, but anime schools do not only prepare mages; they also work with ninjas!
Konoha's Ninja Academy from Naruto
Konoha's Ninja Academy is a very memorable academy from Naruto. It is meant to convey all and any skills a ninja might need when they leave their village, and it seems to be quite effective while not being too harsh on the students. It is one of the least damaging types of education on this list.
Totsuki Culinary Academy from Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma
Totsuki Culinary Academy is a rough place, but every person who wants to succeed at any culinary career hopes to study at Totsuki. In this school, people learn to become great at cooking, and only the best of the best manage to graduate. The anime is mostly a comedy, but nobody can deny that this school is a little intense.
Shuchiin Academy from Kaguya-sama: Love Is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Ren'ai Zunōsen)
Shuchiin Academy is just a backdrop to the romance between the main characters of Kaguya-sama, but it is a nice backdrop, especially since the school is for the elite, and the main characters are both on the student council. The story is a romantic comedy, which works well with school matters at the background.
More magical to less magical, these schools appear in anime to enhance the skills of the main characters and introduce additional plotlines. Consult this list if you want to have an anime with school as the backdrop.
