Doctor Elise
Based on a South Korean web novel and manhwa of the same name, an anime titled Doctor Elise is scheduled to air in January 2024. The premise of the novel is that a very well-trained and experienced surgeon was trying to atone for her sins in her previous life. However, she ends up in a plane crash, which throws her back into her previous life. Back then, she was Elise de Clarence, and she was not the best person. But now, she has the knowledge of her new life, as well as her surgeon training, and she is going to use them to improve her behavior and reform herself.
The PV
The PV is only thirty seconds long. It conveys the key information about the premise of the anime, and it shows some of the animation and music, both of which seem to be quite good.
Some technical information about the anime is presented as well. Doctor Elise is going to be directed by Kumiko Habara, who has a few famous titles under the belt, including Sailor Moon Crystal (Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal). Elise will be voiced by Yui Ishikawa, who also has an impressive voice acting career, for example, as the titular character in Violet Evergarden or as Mikasa in Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). Fans are happy to see her as the main character in this anime.
The PV is not much, but it has given fans something to talk about. They seem to be mostly positive about the anime, and they hope to get to see it. Anime about villainesses seem to attract a lot of attention, as shown by I'm in Love with the Villainess (Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou). We can hope that an anime about a reformed villainess will be even better received.
