The Moment Has Arrived for Metallic Rouge Soundtrack

What better way to remind fans about an upcoming original anime series than to release an epic song from its soundtrack?

Summary

  • Metallic Rouge is an original series that will air in January 2024.
  • Crunchyroll posted an epic song from the Metallic Rouge soundtrack.
  • Anime fans are impatient for the original series and say that the song is amazing, cool, and badass.

Metallic Rouge

Metallic Rouge is an anime original meant to premiere in January 2024. We know that in the world of Metallic Rouge, both humans and androids coexist, and one of the main characters, Rouge, is an android. She and her partner Naomi are given an important task: to travel to Mars and assassinate hostile artificial humans.

Rouge will be voiced by Yume Miyamoto. Her most recent works include playing Raeliana in Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion (Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu) and Risa in The Gene of AI (AI no Idenshi).

Naomi is going to be voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa, an actress and singer. Her most recent roles include Aya Rindo in Undead Girl Murder Farce and Mitsumi in Skip and Loafer (Skip to Loafer).

Metallic Rouge is produced by Bones, and it is actually supposed to celebrate the studio’s 25th anniversary. The director, Motonobu Hori worked on Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi), but a more recent work of his is Super Crooks.

Overall, the anime has a decent team, which makes us hopeful about this original series. However, being an original, there is no source material and no existing fanbase. Metallic Rouge needs to be promoted through other means, and releasing epic songs is one way to do that. And a nice one, we have to admit!

Crimson Lightning and Fan Reaction

The song called Crimson Lightning is a part of Metallic Rouge’s soundtrack. It was posted just recently by Crunchyroll Collection’s Youtube, and anime fans fell in love immediately.

The song is slow but epic, and it picks up speed as the lyrics are artfully presented in the video. The visuals are stark but stylish, with a lot of black backgrounds disturbed by crimson light. They fit the soulful, powerful music and vocals. Taisei Iwasaki, also known for making music for Spriggan (ONA), wrote both the music and the lyrics for this video, and 10GAUGE performed it.

Fans loved the song and the video, claiming that it makes them look forward to the original anime. They called the song badass, cool, awesome, and capable of promoting the anime on its own. And we definitely agree with them! The song is a great promotional material, which can also stand on its own as a beautiful work of art.

Is Crimson Lightning cool?
