Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu) is a story of a boy, Makoto Misumi, who is rejected by the Goddess of Elysion, the world he had to return to since it is his parents’ world. The Goddess considers Makoto too ugly to serve her, which is why she tries to throw him off the end of the world. Tsukuyomi, a Moon God, disagrees with the Goddess, saves Makoto and gives him powers that help him survive in Elysion.
The People Behind the Story
The source material is a light novel by Kei Azumi and Mitsuaki Matsumoto, which is still ongoing. That means that if Season 2 does well, there might be more anime for us to enjoy!
Season 2 changed the studio from C2C (Shangri-La Frontier) to J.C.Staff (Flying Witch; Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?). However, a lot of the staff that worked on Season 1 comes back for Season 2.
The director is Shinji Ishihira (My Hero Academia Season 4; Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero) for both seasons, and so is the sound director, Shouji Hata (The Apothecary Diaries, Spy x Family Code: White).
The script and series composition in both seasons are done by Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-chan). The main characters are once again voiced by Akari Kitou (Nene Yashiro in After-School Hanako-kun), Ayane Sakura (Yuki in Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange), and Natsuki Hanae (Ryuu Natsume in Paradox Live the Animation).
Since the team has already shown their commitment to the anime, Season 2 should be no worse and possibly better than Season 1.
Second Trailer and Fan Reactions
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- has many fans, both readers of the light novel and viewers of Season 1. There is quite some hype for the new season. With new PV out, fans have another opportunity to recruit newbies by talking about how great the anime is.
The PV features good animation, some comedy, and some action, and that is precisely what the viewers want from this isekai. Importantly, the characters from Season 1 return, which lets fans spend more time with their favorite girls. Yes, despite the main character being male, everybody is talking about their favorite girls, who Makoto meets in his exploration of Elysion. Let’s hope that Season 2 does not disappoint!
