We all know how loved and cherished by fans such manga series as Tokyo Ghoul and Chainsaw Man are. We also know how hard it is to find something like them. If you’re in a dark mood and looking for something with a similar vibe, we have a couple of manga recommendations.
- Dai Dark
If you’re a fan of Dorohedoro, you may want to try this manga out, as it was written by the same author.
Rumor has it that possessing Sanko’s bones might grant a person any wish they desire, so he has to be very careful to keep them all to himself. While looking for the person who cursed him with this peculiar ability, of course.
- Fire Punch
We’re sure you know Tatsuki Fujimoto as the author of Chainsaw Man, but this is not the only masterpiece he’s given to this world.
Agni’s regeneration ability is a real blessing for villagers, since they use it to feed the people. However, this ability turns into the most excruciating curse, when Agni’s body is set on fire that cannot be put out by any means except the person’s death, so he’s forced to keep burning alive.
- Choujin X
We keep meeting familiar authors, and this manga is from Sui Ishida whom we know as the mangaka of Tokyo Ghoul.
Despite being polar opposites, Azuma and Tokio’s bond is very strong. These friends live in a world where humans with supernatural abilities called Choujin exist. And cause destruction, of course. However, Azuma and Tokio’s lives change when they also become Choujin.
- Ajin
Ajin are humans who possess immortality and extreme regenerative abilities that trigger upon death. They are considered highly dangerous by society and are captured by the government. That’s why when Nagai Kei discovers he is one after a terrible accident, he has to find out how to deal with this new development.
What’s even better, Ajin has an anime adaptation in case you want to see the story animated after you’ve finished the manga.
- Parasyte (Kiseijuu)
Parasites are weird looking creatures with a frightening ability to possess human bodies and consume other people.
When one of these creatures tries to invade Shinichi’s body, something goes wrong and the parasite fails to complete his mission. Now he’s limited only to Shinichi’s right hand, and these two will have to learn how to handle their coexistence.
