Music anime fans, today is your lucky day because A Few Moments of Cheers (Suu-funkan no Yell wo) movie has just been announced by Bandai Namco Filmworks.
It is scheduled for an early Summer 2024 premiere, and there’s already a website for the upcoming movie featuring the first visual and a teaser trailer for the project.
The movie will follow Kanata Asaya, a high school student with a passion for making music videos. After getting incredibly inspired by a street music performance, he’s eager to create a music video for the song.
The only problem is that the woman singing in the street, Yuu Orie, has completely given up on pursuing a career in music.
Visual and teaser are out
There’s not much to go with yet, but we have the first look at the upcoming movie. The visual with the two main protagonists is absolutely stunning and shows them doing what they love: Yuu singing and Kanata working on a video.
The promotional video for A Few Moments of Cheers focuses on Kanata. He’s sitting at his computer and working. Days and weeks go by, but he’s so involved in the process that he doesn’t even seem to notice.
While the picture visual looks gorgeous, the trailer may surprise and even repel you with its 3D art style. It’s too early to talk about the final result, of course, but for now the style is rather peculiar.
Staff and studios
The staff working on the movie has also been revealed, and fans are extremely happy to see Jukki Hanada as the script writer. His previous works include such titles as Steins;Gate, No Game No Life and Hibike! Euphonium, and these anime are very much loved by the audience.
Both the director (Popurika) and the art director (Magotsuki) seem to be not so well-known to fans, but it’s always exciting to see some fresh faces. Hurray! and 100studio are working on the anime, and the movie will be distributed by Bandai Namco Filmworks.
Although we don’t know much about A Few Moments of Cheers for now, fans think that the project does indeed look interesting. We’re still unsure about the art style as the poster and the teaser trailer give two completely different impressions, but we have to admit that we’re hyped for a new music movie and hope to have a couple of awesome songs to add to our playlists.
