Arnold's Scar in 7th Time Loop, Explained: How Did He Get It?

What's the secret behind it?

  • Rishe deduced that he's got it by Arnold's movements.
  • He got the scar from his own mother.

If you're just like us and you've been enjoying a new episode of 7th Time Loop (Loop 7-kaime) every week, you know a lot about its characters, too. However, there's still one mystery that we were denied to be unveiled just yet. But don't worry, manga readers are always there to satisfy your curiosity.

Arnold's scar

Back in Episode 3 of the series, when Arnold and Rishe shared a ballroom dance, the girl noticed something peculiar about the prince. She analyzed the way he moved during their dance (and during their fight in her previous life) and made an assumption that Arnold has got a scar that he tries to keep a secret.

She was right, of course, and Arnold showed her a side of his neck. From there, his scar extends down to his shoulder, and inhibits movement, which is why Rishe understood that something was wrong.

While looking at the scar, Rishe realized that it was an old one and it looked like someone was hitting Arnold with a sword over and over again, trying to kill him.

Arnold reveals that only few people know about the scar, and no one except for Rishe has ever deduced his injury. He, however, refuses to tell Rishe about the origins of the scar, and just ignores her question, changing the subject to something else.

How did he get it?

And this is where the spoilery part of the piece starts. It turns out that the scar was left by Arnold's mother as she tried to kill her own son.

Arnold's brother, Theodore, revealed it to Rishe later in the story. He told her that Arnold had survived multiple murder attempts by his own mother and that Arnold eventually became the person to kill her.

We still don't know how many people exactly know about the scar, but Theodore once again pointed out that there weren't many.

Arnold's assistant and right-hand man, Oliver, reveals that the wound was still bleeding through the bandage when he met Arnold, so the man got the scar right before these two met.

According to Oliver, Arnold was nine years old at the time of this meeting, so he was just a kid when his own mother attempted his murder, which makes this story even more terrifying.
