Demon Slayer Moments That Kept Us On The Edge Of Our Seats

When watching a series turns into a nail-biter.

Demon Slayer spoilers ahead!

Demon Slayer is an action drama filled with tension by default. Some moments are impossible to watch while staying calm, and this series provides a lot of them, so let's remember some of the scenes that made us feel anxious.

Beginnings are always crucial, and this anime is fully aware of it. Despite the exposition being kinda common (an ordinary boy loses his family), we can't help but feel nervous about Nezuko's fate. When Giyu finds the newly turned demon and tries to get rid of her for good, the viewers probably understand that the girl is not going to die now, as she's important for the plot, but it's still a very intense and beautiful scene that sets the tone for the entire story.

After that comes Tanjiro's training and he has to cut into the boulder to complete it. Demon Slayer doesn't turn this into a three-episode character development story, the series keeps it to the point, which leaves no room for filler-like content and doesn't let us get bored. The Tanjiro and Sabito fight keep us on edge as we're eager to know if the boy succeeds and masters his breathing technique.

What follows the training? That's right, fighting! And Demon Slayer has got you covered. The series has dozens of epic action sequences, and we're going to discuss the most intense ones.

One of the most fierce battles happens back in Season 1, when Tanjiro meets one of the current Twelve Kizuki for the first time. The protagonist understands that this is not just a regular demon, and defeating him would take much more of his abilities that he's ever used before. The fight lasts for several episodes and makes us feel fidgety in our seats since it almost looks like Tanjiro wasn't destined to become the victor in this encounter.

With the Hashira getting more attention, more skilled battles arise. The Mugen Train arc gives us the wonderful Rengoku and plenty of reasons to feel nervous, but it goes further than that, and when we finally think that everything is okay, Demon Slayer introduces Akaza, an upper rank demon, who's there to give us one of the most fierceful battles in the anime. Unfortunately, the fight is followed by grief as Rengoku loses to the powerful demon.

Speaking of Hashira, we can't help but mention Tengen, who is the main star of the Entertainment District arc. This anime sequence is packed with outstanding action that can make even the most reserved viewers titillated. Fans say the fight with Gyutaro and Daki turned them into nervous wrecks and made them sweat so much they had to take a shower after each episode.
