Both Gabi and Falco survive the finale and are doing well.
They’ve become caretakers for Levi in the manga.
The previously released cover of Bad Boy only further proves that.
The characters that have lived long enough to see the finale of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) have different fates, and not all of them are equally good. And Falco and Gabi seem to be the ones who’ve been treated the best.
Both alive and well
Despite Falco losing his brother and suffering from being turned into a mindless titan to later be transformed into a Titan shifter, everything works out well for him in the end. It’s no secret that the boy cares about Gabi the most, and there were hints that he felt something romantic towards the girl previously. So him ending up next to her and seeing her safe can already be considered a somewhat happy ending.
After the final battle Gabi reunites with her family, whom she cared deeply for. She leaves the army and moves on with her life. Her significant character development cannot be ignored either, so there’s hope that life will become calmer and simpler for her after all the horrors.
Although this scene wasn’t in the anime, one of the last manga panels shows older Gabi and Falco next to crippled Levi. It’s said that the kids became caretakers for the ex-captain, and even though we don’t know this for sure, they might live together.
After all, the struggles and horrors that Eren has put the world through were for the well-being of future generations of Eldians, just like Gabi and Falco, so it makes a lot of sense that these two would have the happiest endings out of all the characters.
It’s not the end
The recently announced extra pages for the Attack on Titan manga will also give us more perspective on Gabi and Falco and what is going to happen to them after the series finale. We’ve already discussed the cover of “Bad Boy”, which is the name of the new chapter. We can see Gabi and Falco sitting next to Levi, which once again suggests that all three of them live together or close and interact on a daily basis.
It’s obvious from the cover that some sort of the reparation works are being done, and it all gives us even more hope for Gabi and Falco. The world is healing, and they’re building something new for humanity. So we hope these two will manage to live their “happily ever after” and nothing will spoil that for them.
