Fans Have Thought of Worst Possible Spy x Family Endings: Trust Us, You’re Not Ready

We don’t want these things to happen, but what if…

Summary:

  • Most fans are confident that Spy x Family will have a happy ending.
  • They think Loid, Yor and Anya will become a real family.
  • There are a couple of really dark theories, though.

Spy x Family seems to be a type of series that just has to have a happy ending. It will be natural if Loid, Yor and Anya become a real family and live happily ever after, having forgotten their dark past.

But there’s always a small chance for having less pleasant outcomes, and this is exactly what we’d like to talk about today.

Yor and Anya were just a mission

We all remember how Spy x Family started: Loid had to find a pretend family to fulfill his mission, thus he “married” Yor and “adopted” Anya as his daughter. And fans want to believe that their play-pretend would turn into an actual bond.

But what if they’re wrong? Imagine Loid accomplishing his mission and saying goodbye to Yor and Anya since he doesn’t need them anymore? We don’t even want to think about how many hearts will be broken.

It’s all Anya’s imagination

This theory might be (one of) the worst ones. What if Anya is just a lonely and miserable orphan girl who longs for a family and human bonds? No one would take her, so she has to create this entire story in her head.

Fans think it would be brutal if the series ended with a scene of Anya just playing with two dolls that resemble Yor and Loid, which would mean that all the events we’ve seen in Spy x Family were just in her head as a form of a game. And, even worse, she’s still in a lab. Don’t cry, it’s just a theory.

Bunny Drop ending

If you’re a Bunny Drop anime fan and have never read the manga, get ready because it’s going to hurt. There’s a ten-year timeskip in the manga, after which there’s a romance storyline between Rin and Daikichi. Live with it now.

Bunny Drop had a grown man who took a girl in as his daughter, and she fell in love with him as she grew older. Fans don’t even want to think about Anya growing up and developing feelings for Loid, and consider this theory the worst possible one.

But fear not, we highly doubt that any of these theories will come true, and we’re about 99% sure that we can expect a happy ending from Spy x Family. So let these dark and unsettling ideas remain theories and hope to see the Forgers become a true family in the end.
