Fans Really Wouldn’t Mind a Couple of Demon Slayer Fillers

Moreover, they are even welcomed.

Summary:

  • Fillers are notorious for being boring and irrelevant.
  • Demon Slayer fans have been worried about Season 4 for ages.
  • However, a number of them don't mind Hashira fillers.

The word “filler” has become a regular in all Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) conversations because we still haven't been told which parts of the story will be adapted in Season 4, and everyone and their mother has already mentioned that the Hashira Training Arc is not big enough for an entire season.

That's why the only thing that fans can think of is adding a couple of filler episodes to turn the arc into a full season. But we all know how much fans hate fillers. Or do they?

Not all fillers are bad

We know that this word has mostly been used in a negative context due to how boring and meaningless filler episodes tend to be. Fans created multiple lists of Naruto episodes that you can skip due to them being irrelevant to the story. And people are naturally scared that Demon Slayer might suffer the same fate.

Still, not all fillers are bad. When you've spent years of your life caring for particular characters, you'll feel happy to learn more about them and even watch them chill, relax and do nothing sometimes. It all depends on the character attachment.

Demon Slayer fans love the series' characters a lot and want them to be here for as much time as possible. That's why some of the fans admit that having filler episodes in Season 4 is not such a bad idea.

This way they will gain more perspective on their beloved characters, and the pacing won't suffer since ufotable won't be rushing it to fit the next arc in Season 4 as well.

We want Hashira fillers

Since Season 4 is going to adapt the Hashira Training Arc, it would be fair to suggest that if there are any fillers, they will follow the Hashira. And fans would love that a lot.

Hashira have always been very curious characters, and not all of them have had their time to shine, which is upsetting. So fans naturally want to hear more of their backstories, see them interact with each other and just follow their everyday lives and training.

We already had an anime-exclusive Rengoku episode before the Mugen Train Arc, and fans truly enjoyed it. Why not do something like that for other Hashira as well? This would solve all the content lack issues that the Hashira Training Arc has, and provide fans with a couple of reasons to smile.
