Halloween is not the only reason to celebrate today.
Summary:
- The new JJK Shibuya Incident Arc key visual is revealed.
- Fans are excited to see Sukuna in the anime.
- Manga readers promise a lot of intense and tragic moments.
A new Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident Arc key visual was revealed at midnight October 31st in Japan, and it seems like the date is no coincidence. It’s not only the day of Halloween, but the beginning of one of the most heartbreaking arcs in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
One picture is enough to make you excited
October 31st, 2018, sorcerers and cursed spirits enter Shibuya, and the fun starts. Not everyone is going to survive the heated battle, but let’s not focus on that in order to spare the manga readers and not cause them even more distress. We’re here to discuss the new visual and expectations that come with it after all.
The new Shibuya Incident visual features the king himself, Sukuna. Night city, deserted road, and he’s the only one walking. Sukuna’s clenched fists and his stoic posture indicate that he’s ready for a fight as usual. There are not many other details on the poster, but sometimes just one character is enough to get you hyped, isn’t it?
A number of fans mention the new visual looking just the same as the one with Yuji that was previously released, and they joke about the creators just copy pasting Sukuna character design into the old key visual. Why would you do a countdown for that on social media?
What does it all mean?
Finally seeing Sukuna feels like a dream come true for the viewers. He’s definitely one of the fan faves, and every time he appears, something sick follows, so the excitement is 100% understandable.
Anime onlys are eager to know when we are going to finally see the curse king in the adaptation, and manga readers have got their backs. They promise that Sukuna will make an appearance in the next episode or the one after that, tops. They also say that fun and games are officially over now, and something to be feared of is coming.
Right now the fandom resembles this meme with “people who don’t know” and “people who know”, and since all the X posts mentioning October 31st in the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom are followed by “delete this or I’m about to break down”, we have a feeling that those who don’t know are much happier.
Anyway, everything is soon to be revealed for the anime onlys as well, and for now let’s just stay hyped to see Sukuna and experience what he’s got to offer.
