It’s time to leave this anime alone.
Summary:
- Made in Abyss is coming to Netflix on December 31st.
- The previous controversy about this anime is not forgotten.
- Fans are worried about a new wave of hate.
Made in Abyss has become the center of K-pop fans’ attention recently due to a couple of idols admitting to watching and enjoying the series. The internet was burning for days with various accusations being thrown at the K-pop stars and the rest of the fandom. And it feels like Made in Abyss just can’t be enjoyed anymore. If you don’t want to be called weird or even something worse, that is.
Coming to Netflix in December
All Made in Abyss news is met with a portion of dissatisfaction now, and the recent announcement about it coming to Netflix in Latin America is no exception. It’s been confirmed that this series along with others is going to join the streaming platform on December 31, 2023.
While there is also a lot of excitement about the series being out in another region, some people are less positive. They don’t think that more viewers should be exposed to Made in Abyss and its problematic concepts and ideas, and feel like it’s not an anime to be promoted.
Fans have a bad feeling
Made in Abyss fans are also worried, but not because this news might lead to the fandom expanding, but because it provides haters with another reason to keep talking about the situation. They just hope that the series will be rated appropriately, and people will be cautious while watching. No one denies that Made in Abyss has a controversial reputation and includes questionable things, but this is a show for adults, not for kids, and it’s allowed to be dark and sinister.
There are upsetting expectations of having another wave of hate in the future, since more people are going to watch Made in Abyss and it’s obvious that not everyone will find it their cup of tea.
However, as we’ve said, there’s also plenty of excitement about the news. People are happy to be given a chance to finally experience Made in Abyss and they’re eager to know if there’s going to be dubbing. They would really love that, and can’t wait for the end of December to watch the anime.
Screaming about “child abuse” every time Made in Abyss is mentioned is getting out of fashion, and the anime fans beg people to stop. This is a mature show, and it’s not made for kids. And acting like this every time you see something Made in Abyss related might not be the best way of treating this project.
