Nobara’s death hasn’t been confirmed, and there’s a chance she’s still alive.
Nobara’s technique allows her to deal damage to her target while having a piece of their body.
If she has Sukuna’s finger, she might be a powerful weapon during the final battle.
Although some fans are absolutely sure that Nobara is dead and never coming back, there’s a part of the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom that still has a lot of hope. After all, her status is still unknown, and we know that anything could happen, especially when we’re talking about a series with sorcery and curses. Let’s imagine that she does survive. How would she come back then?
Nobara is one of the main trio, she is important and loved by the fans. It would be too cruel for her to die like that in the middle of the story and never come back. Even those who think that she’s truly passed away suggest that she will make an appearance in some sort of motivational spirit way or just as an encouraging memory. Fans want her to play a bigger role in the story even after her demise.
What if she is alive?
One of Nobara’s techniques is Resonance. It allows her to use a severed body part of her target to establish a link and then attack the entire subject due to this link. And who has various parts, not attached to the body? That’s right, Sukuna and his fingers. He’s still missing one, and he thought that Gojo had it.
But what if that used to be true but then Gojo gave the finger to Nobara to try and use her Resonance in order to help defeat Sukuna? She’s hardly capable of ending him on her own, but this attack will be very handy during the final battle. Even if it allows Nobara to stop or immobilize Sukuna for a mere moment, it might give the rest of the students a great chance of hitting him.
The main issue with this theory, though, is why wait for so long? It’s obvious that this trick is a one-time opportunity, so Nobara would have to use it wisely. It’s pointless to try to use the technique during a battle that has no chance of sorcerers’ success. But Gojo and Sukuna’s fight would have been a perfect opportunity for this. Who if not Gojo could be the one to put an end to Sukuna?
Still, it would make a lot of sense if she appeared during the final battle with Sukuna. The theme of love and friendship would work extremely well in the finale of Jujutsu Kaisen if the main trio of Yuji, Megumi and Nobara is to finally defeat Sukuna together, using their combined effort.
