Rinkai! is an upcoming manga and anime about women's cycling.
It's scheduled for April 9, 2024.
A new visual and trailer have been revealed.
Rinkai! (what's up with all these ! sports titles, by the way?) is an upcoming manga and anime about women's cycling created by Mixi, which is an online Japanese social networking service. A manga series by Kiyoshi Yamane titled Rinkai! Azalea will begin serialization in Amazia's Manga Bang! service in late spring ― early summer 2024. And the anime series is scheduled for April 9, 2024.
The series is going to focus on female cyclists and will revolve around women's bicycle racing that has been revived as the Rinkai League. Although the girls don't have much experience in sports, they will do their best to get to the top.
The project is shrouded in mystery because it's an original anime series that will be released at the same time with the manga. So there aren't any manga readers that will tell you what to expect and whether Rinkai is even worth your attention or not.
New visual and trailer
A new visual along with a promotional video has been released, and it gives us another glimpse of the upcoming series. The visual features all the main protagonists. On their bikes, of course! Looking as competitive and determined as possible.
The trailer gives off the best sports anime vibes with its dynamic racing and stunning girls who are training hard to win the race. Judging by the promotional video, the story will involve a lot of struggles and competitions, and we're here for it.
Fans' expectation
Fans are very excited about the upcoming premiere. They've been craving a good female sports anime, and Rinkai feels like it'll give them just that.
Fanservice has also been noticed, and we can't deny that the girls in the anime look exceptionally beautiful. On top of that, various camera angles in the trailer hint at the fact that there will be more of it in the series.
There's even a joke that the formula for success is to include some pretty girls in an anime and make them do basically anything, and it's done; you've got a show that an immense number of people will watch.
There's just two months until we find out whether that's really true and if this formula indeed works. But for now let's just enjoy the new trailer and get hyped for Rinkai.
