  • There’s a theory that the girls are actually villains.

The new anime from Studio Bones is already here, and if watching a series about androids is your idea of having fun, congratulations, you’ve found the next show to watch.

Rouge and Naomi are the two main protagonists of Metallic Rouge, and even though we’ve only seen them for one episode, their duo seems very curious already.

The contrast is what makes them so great

Rouge is an android girl. But she’s not just a regular one. Most androids can’t hurt humans, but there are the Immortal Nine who pose a threat to humanity due to them not adhering to this rule. And Rouge is just like that.

It’s still unclear if she’s one of the Immortal Nine or used to be one, but there’s definitely a connection.

Due to being an android, Rouge is very calm and unemotional. She doesn’t care about being charming or welcoming, she’s a human girl only in appearance.

Quietly watching a fellow android being disposed of or calmly fighting a dangerous opponent ㅡ Rouge seems very indifferent. We’re sure there’s a more interesting personality somewhere behind this aloof facade, and can’t wait to see it.

Naomi, on the other hand, is absolutely different. She has some chaotic vibes around her and is not afraid of being emotional. This contrast between the two girls is very interesting, and surely it will provide a lot of engaging moments in the future.

Naomi is responsible for the fun part of the duo, and she already comes off as an eccentric character. Since Rouge is so reserved, we need someone with emotions to keep the balance, and Naomi is ready to play this role.

The fact that both girls are absolutely stunning also makes fans more in love with the main protagonists, and we can understand that. It’s always nice to have an eye candy, isn’t it?

Are they the bad guys?

We still don’t know how and why this duo was formed, but we’re hoping for more character development in the future. Their mission seems to be eliminating the Immortal Nine, but there must be something more to that.

Fans are also unsure of Rouge and Naomi’s motives, and some even suggest that they’re going to be the bad guys, since Sarah technically did nothing wrong in the first episodes, and still, Rouge decided to eliminate her.

We don’t mind them being the baddies, either, there’s always something compelling about experiencing the story through the villain’s perspective.

We can’t wait to see more of them!
