The one led by a more mature person. And if this is exactly how you’re feeling right now, these anime will keep you company.
1. Odd Taxi
Don’t let the animal protagonists confuse you and make you think like this is an anime for kids. It’s actually a mystery thriller series. Odd Taxi tells the story of Hiroshi Odokawa. His parents abandoned him when he was very young, which led to him being quite asocial. He is a taxi driver, and his job allows him to meet a number of unique individuals. Hiroshi’s life feels normal until one day a murder mystery leads the police to him.
2. Death Parade
If you’re craving for a good drama with lots of heartbreaking stories and supernatural elements, this is an anime for you. Death Parade takes place at a mysterious bar where people are taken to after their death without any recollection of what happened to them. Emotionless arbiters judge them and decide if they will be reincarnated or sent into oblivion. And everything goes the way it’s supposed to, until one woman arrives with all of her memories intact.
3. Pluto
This anime has become a complete hit this year, and if you haven’t seen it yet, now is your sign to do so. A robotic Europol detective, Gesicht, is sent to investigate a series of crimes involving robots and humans. There’s something strange about the way they were destroyed and murdered. His investigation leads him to a mysterious entity known as Pluto, and he learns that the most powerful robots in the world are under attack. But will Gesicht be able to protect and save them?
4. Steins;Gate
If you’re into time travel, don’t miss this anime! Although the main protagonist is pretty young (only 18), he’s nothing like a regular shounen character. Rintarou Okabe is an eccentric scientist whose great passion is scientific exploration. He founds the Future Gadget Laboratory with his friends with the hope of creating technological innovations. However, the friends seem to have created nothing worth anyone’s attention. But everything changes when Okabe decides to attend a time travel convention and finds out that he’s capable of sending messages into the past.
