A Wild Chainsaw Man Theory Suggests Death Devil is Not That Bad

A Wild Chainsaw Man Theory Suggests Death Devil is Not That Bad

We just love speculations!

Chainsaw Man manga spoilers ahead!

Summary:

  • The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are or will be all represented in Chainsaw Man.
  • We know some things about the Control, War and Famine devils, but don’t know much about the Death Devil.
  • A theory about the Death devil.

Chainsaw Man has so many different devils that you might get confused at some point. We’re here to confuse you even more with a couple of theories, of course!

Who are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

Since Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are probably the scariest common fictional creatures in the universe, it feels logical to have them represented as devils in Chainsaw Man. They bring dread to millions, and thus can become quite powerful in this series due to their feeding upon humanity’s fears. They represent the worst things that can happen to people and bring the end to the world as they know it.

Horsemen that are already in the series

If you’re new to the topic of the Four Horsemen, we’d love to remind you what they are: Death, War, Famine and the fourth is usually the Antichrist or Conquest, but in the Chainsaw Man Makima takes his place being the Control Devil. She was the first one to appear in the series and revealed to be the main antagonist of Part 1 of the manga.

Makima, though, is not the only one of the four that we’ve encountered. War devil is depicted as Yuro, a fiend that’s now occupying Asa’s body. And we can’t forget about Fami, whose name alone can give you the idea that she’s the devil, who represents the fear of famine and starvation.

But what about Death?

The Death devil is yet to be revealed in Chainsaw Man, but it doesn’t mean that fans don’t have any ideas! First of all, she is going to be female just like her siblings (go, Fujimoto, go, we love powerful girls!).

One of the theories claims that the Death devil might actually be… good. Although it might sound weird and out of nowhere at first, don’t jump to conclusions. Remember Makima taking Denji in and giving him what he desired and promising a better future? This is how she made the main protagonist trust her and even feel affection for her, but it was all just to control the boy and use him however she wanted. What if the Death devil works kind of like that?

You have to love your life to be afraid of death. If you’ve been living a miserable life, you’ll probably want it to end as soon as possible. And even if you’re not longing for death, it hardly scares you. That would never work for the Death devil since she has to be feared to be powerful. But it would definitely work if she ensures that people live happy and fulfilled lives. That would make them want to keep living and thus scared of dying.
