More recently, a movie dedicated to Reze Arc in the Chainsaw Man universe was announced. Usually, studios choose a special story for full-length movies that is sure to get a lot of fan attention. Gojo vs Sukuna fight could be such a big event.

While fans may disagree on how this confrontation ended, there's no denying that this fight is one of the manga's highlights. After a long absence, Gojo is finally freed from captivity by Yuji's team and gets the chance to show his full strength against the strongest antagonist in the universe. The battle is packed with impressive scenes and unexpected (sometimes very unexpected) twists.
Although Gege (the manga author) doesn't like Gojo very much, he is one of the most popular characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, if not the most popular. Sukuna is equally charismatic and also on the list of most admired characters.
Their meeting promises to be very impressive as the chemistry between the characters is strong. Gojo and Sukuna fought at the very beginning of the anime when their powers were unequal. Many fans fell in love with Jujutsu Kaisen after that moment.
Best choice
There are several reasons why Gojo vs Sukuna would be better as a movie. First of all, more resources are usually spent on the movie production and the animation is richer and more intense. Also, as we have already noticed, this event is a turning point for the whole manga, so it would be better if it had a full-fledged movie.
Besides, there are a lot of dramatic elements in this story, and the battle finale can be heartbreaking (yes, the airport scene would be a great ending).
Jujutsu Kaisen already has an example of a well-made movie that focuses on Yuuta Okkotsu and covers the time before the main events. It turned out much better from a directorial standpoint than the TV series.
In Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the animation is done at a higher level and the story seems quite logical and complete. Considering the scandals surrounding the production of the second season, perhaps a feature-length movie, which will give the studio more time, is a very good decision.
