10 Anime Characters to Invite to Your New Year’s Eve Party

Let’s have some fun!

Christmas is over, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t have a reason to celebrate. New Year’s Eve is just around the corner, and it’s time to plan your outstanding parties or quiet family gatherings for this day.

We’ve got a list of the best possible anime invitees for such an event.

1. Luffy — One Piece

If you don’t want to get bored during the party, you should definitely invite Luffy! His childlike personality will make him a perfect entertainer, and his fearlessness will come in handy when it's time for the game of “truth or dare” or other challenges that probably won’t end well, but will make the party truly unforgettable.

2. Yato — Noragami

Yato will come to any party… if you pay him, of course. Promise him that he’ll be the center of attention and you’ll build a small shrine for him, and he’ll be the first one attending!

Although he can be very serious at times, a New Year’s Eve party is definitely not an occasion for that. Don’t forget to buy a couple of beers for the man, though, and you’ll have him show you how to party all night.

3. Kyoka Jiro — My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia)

 - image 3

If your party needs someone who will be making snarky comments throughout the entire night, you've got your girl! What, did you think we’ll only have fun-and-games characters on our list?

While coming off as cold and indifferent, Kyoka can be a very useful guest at a party, since we can trust her music taste for sure. And what kind of party is it if there's no good music?

4. Satoru Gojo — Jujutsu Kaisen

 - image 4

What’s the point of having a party, if Gojo is not there? We think none. Gojo will be the loudest and most obnoxious person at the party, and this is exactly why he has to be there.

He will be the true star of the night. And we don’t mean the type of star to put on your Christmas tree, although we’re sure that if you challenge Gojo, he’ll definitely climb that tree to prove a point.

5. Jean Kirstein — Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)

 - image 5

What’s a party without a couple of fights? If you invite Eren too, we advise you to get some popcorn along with New Year’s meals because these two are definitely getting into a heated argument.

But Jean will work well even without Eren. His sense of humor will make you laugh on multiple occasions, and his clever wits will come in handy when you’re craving for an interesting conversation.

Just don’t invite Mikasa, please. Otherwise Jean will be a blushing mess, sitting in a corner and watching her flirt with Eren all night.

6. Yumeko Jabami — Kakegurui

 - image 6

If calm and quiet parties are not your thing, Yumeko is your girl. Ask her to bring a deck of cards, and she’ll show you real magic. No, not a card trick, we’re talking about gambling.

It might be better not to play for money on New Year’s Eve, though, because otherwise you’ll be left with a couple of broke and crying people in your house. But if you manage to keep Yumeko under control, everyone will have fun and leave with their dignity intact.

7. Hisoka Morow — Hunter x Hunter

 - image 7

Speaking of cards… Why not invite the most wonderful entertainer? If you’re into magic card tricks, he might be a good choice for your party. Hisoka will definitely put up a great show for all of your guests.

Just GET HIM OUT of the party as soon as the show is over. Not to sound rude, but trust us, this will be much better this way.

8. Power and Denji — Chainsaw Man

Sorry, we can’t choose only one of them because these two will be more fun together. First of all, you can watch their banter all night, and this is already a great show. Then, when it’s time to go absolutely crazy, Power and Denji will be 100% onboard. Mostly because they’re already crazy, though, but let’s ignore that.

But seriously, if you want someone eccentric, loud, fun and insane at your party, these two are the best choice. You’ll wake up with tons of great memories (and possibly a headache) the next morning.

9. Andy — Undead Unluck

 - image 9

If Andy manages to stay fully clothed for an entire night, this would definitely be a magical one.

Don’t know about you, but Andy’s facial expression screams party to us. His recklessness will create more than just a couple of super exciting memories. Challenge him to do anything, and you got it! Just don’t forget to charge your phone before the party because you’ll definitely want to record all the crazy things Andy will do. Imagine how many views on TikTok you’ll get!

10. Shuu Tsukiyama — Tokyo Ghoul

 - image 10

This man knows how to organize a great party, so if you’re lacking this skill, call Tsukiyama and he’ll do everything for you. But keep him under control because otherwise your party might end up being too pompous, since the man knows no limits.

Friendly advice: make sure he’s not hungry when he arrives, and don’t invite Kaneki if you don’t want to experience any trauma.
